What are Matrix Wrapped Poles?PTHESE strong. BR and flexible lightweight, are - tents our all in used poles>To create the Matrix Wrapped Pole we start with a high quality fibreglass pole blank, then wrap this with an additional multi-directional fibreglass coating. We then coat this with a clear lacquer coating. The result is a pole that is 15% stronger than a standard tent pole.
What is the Easy Pitch Guarantee?
Spinifex tents are designed to be easy to set up. We guarentee that our tents will be easy to erect and assemble; giving you piece of mind at the campsite.
How do the Climate Control Vents work?
They are designed to increase the flow of fresh air into your tent. The Vents work by channeling cool air from down low into the tent, pushing warm air out through the doors and windows higher in the tent.
Can I use my stove inside the tent?
Absolutely not. It is not safe to cook or use a gas lantern inside a tent for many reasons - least of which is the fire hazard it presents. Cook outside and away from the tent to preven the tent from catching fire. Also fires use oxygen to burn and a tent is a confined space - that meas that if you use a stove or gas lantern in a confined space you are depleting oxygen and risk all kinds of damage.
Will Spinifex be developing a range of cutlery to go with the Melamine Dinnerset?
Although a full cutlery se tisn't yet available through Spinifex, there are cutlery sets included in products such as the Picnic Pack and the Picnic Backpack; you can also get a Spinifex Coffee Set to complement the range. We are currently developing a range of cutlery that you can purchase as a set, however it takes time to create a hardy set that can handle camping conditions in Australia!

Where do I get replacement parts for my Spinifex products?
Should you need replacement parts for your Spinifex gear please take the product to your place of purchase and they can arrange replacements for you.
Where do I get extra ropes and pegs for my Spinifex tent?
Spinifex tents are sold with a bunch of ropes and pegs - enough to get you started and enough to set up your tent securely and safely. But somehow tent pegs go missing! If you do need extras, visit the Distributors page to find your nearest Spinifex stockist who can provide Spinifex tent pegs and ropes.
Who designs Spinifex gear?
Our gear is designed by folks who know what it takes to get out there and stay out there with reliable hear that won't fall apart, break down or just won't work. We don't just sit behind desks and think up pretty colours for our gear - we test it out, we rate the gear and we make the necessary improvements to make sure you have products that won't let you down.
Can I use insect spray inside my Spinifex tent?
No. If you use insect spray you can damage the protective coatings on the tent material. Best to use a bug zapper or use personal insect repellent.
If I am only setting up camp for one night, do I need to use all the ropes and pegs?
Yes - if you don't want to fly away! Winds, strong breezes and rain can come from nowhere and if your tent is properly secured you are less likely to be blown about by the wind and if your fly is secured properly you will be less likely to get water in your tent. That's not to mention the frustration of hearing loose ropes flapping against the tent during the night! |
